We Applied for a Marriage License

Yes it is..tying the knot comes with a great social responsibility, and so before all these blissful preps, ultimately we have to secure for this most important document--the Marriage License.

We went to the Buhi Municipal Office, Buhi, Camarines Sur (my place of residence) and first had the not-so-formal written interview from the DSWD, submitted copies of our NSO authenticated Birth Certificates and residence certificates.

Then, we attended another 3 hours Pre Marriage Counseling from the Rural Health Center as a requirement for the application of the license.

Along with the following documents (I just searched all of these through the internet without really knowing the documents required) we proceeded to the Local Civil Registrar Office to file the Marriage License:

1. Certificates of No Marriage (CENOMAR)

2. Residence Certificates

3. Certificate of Attendance for Pre-Marriage Counseling

4. and a reasonable fee of Php 260

We would have to wait for 10 working days for its issuance and is valid for 120 days or four months from the date of issuance..Just in time for our wedding day!
