Our Original Wedding Date was Moved to a Lucky 9

From the moment I learned from the parish' secretary that our original wedding date has been compromised, all the excitement of these planning seems to be tearing down into pointless bits and pieces.. It was originally planned on the 8th of December, the day of the celebration of the Immaculate Concepcion, a day my groom and I have always dreamed of. Unfortunately, it will now just remain a dream that will never come true.

At first, I wanted to confront the person responsible for neglecting our advanced reservation. Then out of desperate thinking, I would have wanted to talk to the other couple, who I think unintentionally got our original wedding date to make amicable settlement and give us back our original date. On the other hand, what benefit will I gain from it? Anyway, if I were in the place of that lucky unintentional bride, I wouldn't also want to ruin any other's dream wedding date, like how I am actually feeling right at this moment:-(

I wanted to cry out loud but no tears are falling down my cheek. Groom-to-be was a little more calm and stronger than I am emotionally. But I have to move on, this state of depression is not doing us any good. We thus tried to contact several parishes nearby to check if the 8th of December is still available but none were in favor to our luck. And as President Obama said in one of his talks in a meeting, "You can't always come up with an optimal solution, but you can usually come up with a better solution".

Depressing indeed, but there's nothing more we can do about it..instead, we decided to move it on the next day, the 9th of December so that it becomes a Sunday event in the very same parish. Luckily however, all our previously contracted suppliers have the date still available to bring about the best service they can offer to our special day.

What with all the feng shui or numerology that says the number 9 and the Sunday is not a lucky date for weddings. Nevertheless, I believe that if it is God's will that all these conflicts happen and to make the 9th of December available for us, our faith remains that whatever day it is you'll get married, as long as it will have the blessing of the Lord, our marriage life will be as lucky, as wealthy and forever with the guidance from above.

Now I don't have to fuss, forget the depressing situation and think that it's just a date and it's still a lucky 9!
